A new Asus Zenfone smartphone has appeared on a popular Benchmarking website, Geekbench. The smartphone is touted to be yet another variant of company’s flagship smartphone, the Asus Zenfone 5z.
The Geekbench listing reveals that the smartphone carries a model number of ASUS_Z01RD, which is different from the ZS620KL model number for Zenfone 5z. So, it is not known whether it will be yet another variant of the flagship device or it will be a smartphone altogether.
Coming to the listing, the smartphone has scored 2471 points in single-core test and 9209 points in the multi-core test. The listing reveals that the smartphone will run on Android 8.0.0 Oreo. The phone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Processor and it is backed by an 8GB of RAM. That said, no other information is available about the mysterious device from Asus.
To recall, Asus introduced its latest Zenfone 5 series at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC). The brand announced three new smartphones including Asus Zenfone 5Z, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 5 Lite.
The Asus Zenfone 5Z has Snapdragon 845 processor. The phone will be made available in 4GB RAM, 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM models with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage respectively. The phone also comes with a micro SD card slot. It has a 6.2-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2246 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio which makes quite taller than many phones but not as tall as iPhone X which has 19.5:9 ratio.
