Tata Motors-owned, Jaguar Land Rover has launched India’s first luxury convertible SUV, dubbed as the Range Rover Evoque. At a price tag of Rs 69.53 lakh (ex-showroom) the Luxury SUV is available only in HSE Dynamic variant in the country.
The convertible roof of the Evoque gets the Z-folding fibre system and controlled via a switch mounted in the centre console, which just takes 18 seconds to flush in and 21 seconds to flush out at speeds of up to 48 km/h. Powered by the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, 1998cc displacement petrol engine is capable of generating 240 PS of maximum power with the peak torque of 340 Nm. The four-seater SUV is mated to a 9-speed transmission and equipped with the company’s designed Terrain Response System for off-road capability.
