Top 5 TVs in India

While there have been few new entrants in the TV industry, the pioneers such as Sony, Samsung or LG, for instance, still rules the high-end segment.

Televisions still hold a very crucial spot in the tech industry even after sheer dominance by smartphones. While there have been few new entrants in the TV industry, the pioneers such as Sony, Samsung or LG, for instance, still rules the high-end segment. When we move up the budget with the majority of focus on features a TV has to offer, these players tend to come in the picture automatically. While we had our thoughts for the under Rs 20,000 segment last week, here are top 5 TVs you can buy right now in India.

Samsung UAKS9000 series: Rs 2,35,305 – Rs 3,79,900

Ever since Samsung announced its KS9000 series in India last year, it has hardly faced any tough competition. Although LG’s EG960T and EG930T OLED Curved TV’s came close but are extremely difficult to find in the market so Samsung’s KS9000 series still stands tall in the premium TV category. Inside the box, we get the TV unit (of course), a remote controller with batteries, user manual, power cable, slim gender cable, Samsung smart control. The KS9000 TV series come in 55-inches and 65-inches display sizes which are beautifully curved and bezel-less and come with Ultra HD (4K) resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels). LG OLED 55E6T – Rs 2,74,000

If we talk about premium TVs, LG is yet another reliable manufacturer in India. Panasonic 65DX700D – Rs 229,990

While Sony, Samsung and LG are in a different league altogether, Panasonic is likely to be the fourth member of TV giants list. Successfully made it our top five list as well, Panasonic’s 65DX700D is what we are talking about here. Inside the box, we get a TV unit, Remote Control, Power Cable, User Manual, Warranty information and Wall Mount. The 65DX700D comes with 65-inch Ultra HD (4K) near a bezel-less display with 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution. A better 65-inch Smart TV with 4K resolution is hard to find.

Vu H75K700 – Rs 1,99,990

Well, this might have come as a surprise but Vu also has some pretty decent TVs in the premium price segment. The Canadian TV manufacturer has already made its name in budget and mid-range segment so we researched a bit and decided to include it in our top five TVs list as well. The product we are concerned here is Vu’s H75K700 which is currently available for Rs 1,99,990 on Flipkart. The only one in the list, this TV comes with a massive 75-inch Ultra HD (4K) display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Inside the box, we get the TV unit, 3D glasses, Power Cord, Table Top Stand and a Wall Mount Bracket. Talking about the display, the H75K700 also offers 3D functionality so you can enjoy all your 3D content along with High Dynamic Range, Smooth Motion Rate (refresh rate: 800Hz), 4X Graphic Engine etc. It offers 4:3, 16:9, Zoom 1 and Zoom 2 options for aspect ratios along with a refresh rate of 100 Hz. Other than this we also get 4K movies support in USB mode, Backlight Control, Digital Media Player, 4K streaming etc. For the audio, we get 4 speakers here which are capable of throwing out an audio output of 30 RMS. These speakers also come with Dolby Digital technology and features like DBX Total Sound, Lip-sync adjustment, Audio Equalizer etc. However, the speaker system doesn’t include a woofer inside. Another reason which you can consider while buying this TV is the support Vu is offering. The Canadian TV manufacturer is giving 3 years Vu domestic warranty which covers only manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.
