Here are five tablets which are available for less than Rs 10,000 but come with voice calling support.

Lava Qpad e704

It was launched recently and it offers the perfect combination of quad core processor and voice calling. It is now available for Rs 9,999.

The Lava Qpad e704 comes with a 7 inch touchscreen which has 1024×600 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor and 1 RAM. There is a Videocore GPU in the tablet but its output is not known right now. Like many other sub-Rs 10,000 tablets, the Lava Qpad too comes with 4 GB internal storage and 32 GB micro SD card slot.

But the highlight of the tablet is its connectivity features – it comes with dual SIM connectivity and it allows voice calling as well. As per the listing, in the tablet you can use the SIM connectivity to access network but we guess only one SIM slot is 3G enabled. There is also WiFi in the tablet for internet access. Besides, it has 4.0 and port for file transfer.

The tablet has also a big 3500 battery which claims to provide 8 hours of talktime and 240 hours of standby. In the Qpad, there is a 3.2 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel front camera. It also comes with and GPS for navigation. The tablet is based on 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and not KitKat which is the latest version of Android.

Xolo QC800 comes with an 8-inch IPS display sporting 1024×768 pixel resolution. This is the first tablet from Xolo and is offered in pure white colour. The QC800 is powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8225Q mobile chipset. This low-power processor is coupled with Adreno 203 GPU which is expected to deliver decent quality graphics to support most casual games.

Thankfully, Xolo has armed it with 1 GB RAM that would help it run most applications and user interface smoothly. The tablet runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and supports 3G network through a SIM card slot. Not only that, the tablet also supports voice calling. At its back, there is a 2 megapixel camera which just gets the job done while the front 0.3 megapixel camera would be good enough for video calls. Xolo has packed a 4000 mAh battery to power the QC800 to provide 12 hours worth talk time.

It is currently retailing for about Rs 9,000.

Available for about Rs 9,000, the Swipe MTV Slash 4X brings a quad-core processor which has a clock speed of 1.3 GHz, a healthy 1 GB RAM, and dual SIM connectivity.

The 7-inch display of the Slash 4X has 1024×600 pixel resolution. It has a 2 megapixel camera at the back and a 0.3 megapixel camera in the front. The tablet comes packed with 4 GB on-board storage and a memory card slot that can hold up to 32 GB micro SD card. This dual SIM based tablet has a 3000 mAh battery.

Besides, this tablet has Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Like other MTV-Swipe products, this tablet too comes with MTV-content such as MTV Hottie and MTV Funny.

Indian smartphone and tablet maker, iBall has launched this tablet recently with support. The Slide 3G 7271-HD70 is priced at Rs 8,299 and offers 3G network support in one of the SIM slots and also supports video calling. It features a 7-inch display and is powered by a dual-core mobile processor. This tablet is the direct successor model of the Slide 3G 7271-HD7 tablet.

The new iBall Slide 3G 7271-HD70 offers a 7-inch display with 1024×600 native resolution. Even this tablet is powered by a dual-core 1.3 GHz mobile processor and 1 GB RAM. The tablet offers 8 GB on-board storage with a memory card slot to add more memory.

This tablet also supports phone calling with built-in earpiece receiver. At the rear is a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash for imaging as well as video calls. The tablet offers wireless FM with to enjoy radio station. It has GPS with support as well.

It has also voice calling support. Besides, the Lenovo Idea Tab A1000 has USB OTG support which allows using a pen drive directly in this tablet (via a OTG cable).

This Lenovo tablet has neither 3G connectivity option either through SIM or dongle, or a rear camera. However, currently it is available for as low as Rs 6,700 which makes it a very good tablet at this price range.
