The Xolo Play Tegra Note is a device built for gamers. It has a 7 inch IPS display with a Resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. The tablet runs on Android Lollipop, and has a 1.8 GHz quad-core processor, which runs with 1 GB of RAM. The internal memory stands at 16 GB, to which you can add another 64 GB via a microSD card.
The primary camera of the Xolo Play Tegra Note is a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and video recording. In its front lies a VGA camera for video calls and selfies. The WiFi only Play Tegra Note has GPS, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity. It has a 4100 mAh battery that claims to offer up to 8.2 hours of play time.
Micromax Canvas Tab P680 – Rs 8,949
The Micromax Canvas Tab P680 is equipped with an 8 inch IPS display with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, making it the one you should go for if you love watching videos. The tablet runs on Android Lollipop, and has a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor, which runs the tablet with the help of 1 GB RAM. The internal memory stands at 16 GB to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card.
The primary camera is a 5 megapixel camera and the front of the phone has a 2 megapixel selfie shooter. The Dual-SIM Micromax Canvas Tab P680 is a 3G tablet with calling, GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth for connectivity. The power is provided by a 4000 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3V – Rs 9,900
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3V is a very decent all-rounder. It has a 7 inch TFT display with 600 x 1024 pixels resolution. This Android KitKat tablet has a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor, which runs with 1 GB of RAM. For storage, it offers 8 GB of built in storage to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card.
The tablet has a primary camera of 5 megapixel resolution while for video calling it offers a 2 megapixel camera in the front. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3V is a single SIM tablet with 3G (data only, no calling) and it offers GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC, DLNA and a 3600 mAh battery that can provide up to 8 hours of play time.
The Asus Fonepad 7 (FE171CG) is probably the best overall package in this list. It has a 7 inch LED backlit IPS display with a resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels. Running on Android KitKat, it has a dual-core Intel Atom processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory stands at 16 GB, and another 64 GB can be added via a microSD card.
The tablet offers an 8 megapixel shooter with geo-tagging, face detection, auto-focus, and video recording. The front has a 2 megapixel unit. The dual-SIM Asus Fonepad 7 has 3G, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity. For power there is a 3950 mAh battery in the tablet.
Kindle (6 inch, WiFi) – Rs 5,999
The Kindle makes it to this list solely for e-book fans. The Kindle has a 6 inch touchscreen e-paper display with a Pixel density of 167 ppi. The display is made of carta e-paper technology and will ensure that your eyes do not get strained with heavy reading. Amazon claims it to be 20% faster than the older Kindle.
The 4 GB of on-board memory and unlimited access to the Amazon Cloud (for Amazon content) means that you will have no need to worry about storing books. Though Amazon has not revealed its battery capacity, it claims that the device lasts a few weeks on a single charge if you use it for half an hour of reading in a day.
