Nowadays, Smartphones are launched in dozens every monthand it becomes difficult for a consumer to choose one.Here we have shortlisted top 5 smartphones which are currently available in India.

Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

Apple iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus released in India last year, though a new red colour variant of devices are now going up for pre-orders in India. However, earlier launched variant are also available in the market for purchase.

As far as tech specifications are concerned, the iPhone 7 has a 4.7-inch touchscreen while the iPhone 7 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch display with 1334×750 pixels and 1920×1080 pixel resolution. Both are LED backlit IPS screens and have 625 cd/M2 max brightness.

Apple devices offer A10Fusion CPU, which is claimed to be the best ever to feature in a smartphone. Built on the 64 bit architecture, the CPU comes with four cores, two for conserving battery power and two for high performance. They have a separate motion co-processor while Apple says that their graphics is 50 percent faster than that of previous A9 SoC.

On the camera front, the iPhone 7 Plus has a dual camera set up. The iPhone 7 Plus has a primary 12-megapixel camera as the iPhone 7. But the bigger iPhone has a secondary camera, which is dubbed as ‘telephoto’ camera. The secondary camera in the iPhone 7 Plus is meant to create depth effect in images and helps users to get 2x zoom without any assistance from software. Post 2x, the camera takes help of software as is usually happens in smartphones.

The primary 12-megapixel camera of both iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have a f/1.8 aperture, Optical Image Stabilisation, six element lens, Live Photo feature with stabilisation, Sapphire crystal lens cover, Backside illumination sensor, Hybrid filter, Auto HDR, Burst mode, timer mode, panorama and geo tagging features. There is Quad LED True tone flashlight on the back panel of both the phones. The 12-megapixel cameras can record videos, slow motion full HD videos at 120 and HD videos at 240 fps.

Both iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have 7-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture. Called as FaceTime HD camera, these can record full HD videos, and have BSI sensor, Auto HDR, Auto Image Stabilisation, Burst mode and Timer mode.

The LTE-enabled iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have WiFi (ac), WiFi with MIMO, 4.2, GPS with and NFC. They have fingerprint sensor that is integrated into the home button. Moreover, the iPhones 7 and 7 Plus comes with revamped Siri that allows users sending messages, set reminders and do more through voice.

OnePlus 3T

OnePlus 3T was launched in India in December last year, price starts at Rs 29,999. The OnePlus 3T features a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p Optic which is 2.5D curved. On the inside we get, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.35GHz with Adreno 530 along with a 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage.

For the camera, the device sports 16-megapixel cameras both at the front and back while for the battery the device sports 3400 mAh non-removable battery. It offers Dual SIM functionality, however, you don’t get an option to expand the given internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro

Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro with huge 6GB RAM was launched in India at Rs 36,900. The smartphone features a metal unibody and a 6-inch display with full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 653 (4 x 1.95GHz + 4 x 1.44GHz) processor and Adreno 510 GPU. The phone has a 6GB RAM, 64GB which is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging technology. The device also features a fingerprint sensor in the home button.
Samsung C9 Pro
For the optics, the device has a 16-megapixel shooter on the back with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.9 and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. On the connectivity front, the device offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a USB Type C. The handset measures 162.9 x 80.7 x 6.9 mm and weighs 185 grams.

Huawei P9

Huawei P9 smartphone is a flagship device launched in India last year in the month of August for Rs 39,999, the phone has a 5.2 inch 1080p IPS-NEO display. Inside, we get Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 955 processor which is an Octa-Core chipset clocked at 2.5GHz. For graphics, there is Mali-T880 MP4 GPU and 3GB RAM. Though there is also a 4GB variant but it was not launched in India, instead we will now see P9’s successor ‘P10’ which was announced during MWC 2017 and is expected to launch in India in July. The internal storage which we get here is 32GB which is expandable up to 128GB via a micro SD card.
Huawei p9
Coming to the USP of this phone, the Huawei P9 also sports a dual-camera setup. There is a Dual 12 MP, f/2.2 rear facing the camera with Leica optics, phase detection and dual-LED flash. In the front, the device sports an 8MP f/2.4 shooter which is capable of Full HD recording. The device is powered by a 3000 mAh battery which Huawei claims is enough for a full day use. The device runs on Android 6.0 with Emotion UI 4.1 on top. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back and USB for data transfer.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (4GB)

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 launched in India in three different variants- 2GB RAM + 32GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs 9,999, for 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage one has to pay Rs 10,999 and 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage variant cost Rs 12,999.

As far as specifications of Redmi Note 4 is concerned, it comes with a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) 2.5D curved glass display and a 2.0 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. The hybrid dual SIM smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating and has a 4100 mAh battery. In terms of design, the smartphone comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back.

Further, the smartphone offers a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with dual tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front camera. On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS with AGS/GLONASS and USB Type C. The handset measures 151 x 76 x 8.35mm and weighs 175 grams.
