Phablets with 6 inch screen are ideal for those who want functionality of both smartphones and tablets in one device.

In 2011, Samsung came out with a 5.3 inch display bearing smartphone, called Galaxy Note. At that time smartphones used to have lot smaller screens, between 3.5 inch to 4 inch. With Galaxy Note, Samsung all of a sudden started a new segment which it termed as “phablet”, a combination of two words – phone+tablet.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra

The best thing about the Z Ultra is that it is waterproof as well as dust proof. It has a huge 6.4 inch display which has full resolution as well. And if you think it would be quite difficult to handle it thing again – it is just 6.5 mm thin and weighs only 212 grams (many 5.5 inch devices weigh even the same).

Nokia Lumia 1320

The Lumia 1320 comes with a humongous 6 inch display screen. Its IPS display has high definition (1280×720 pixels) resolution. This means that its display bears 245 pixels per inch pixel density which ofcourse will allow it to provide clearer text as well as images. Nokia has implemented the ClearBlack technology and Sunlight readability enhancements to make its screen visible even under the sun.

Moreover, the Lumia 1320’s display has 3 coating which would give it better protection from wear-tear than those who do not have it. Its display has TrueColor 24-bit panel for best colour reproduction.

Lumia 1320 has a 5 megapixel camera at the back with f/2.4 that is expected to click great quality images and to record 1080p HD videos. There is a 0.3 front facing camera in its front that claims to be able to capture images in 640×480 pixel resolution. Huawei Ascend Mate has a 1.5 GHz quad core processor, Android Jelly Bean operating system and a big 6.1 inch LCD display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass as well for added strength.

Besides, the 9.9 mm thin phablet has 2 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of which can be further expanded to 64 GB via a micro card. Huawei Ascend Mate has an 8 megapixel rear camera with 1080p video recording capability and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera.

But the most notable part of the 198 gram weighing smartphone is its massive 4050 mAh battery, which can also double up as a power bank for charging other phones using a cable. According to the Huawei, the 4050 mAh battery will provide up to two days of backup on a single recharge. Huawei Ascend Mate has a micro slot and the keyboard that will support right or left orientation for single-handed operation.
