Micromax introduced the Canvas Knight A350 as the Octa-core smartphone to compete with Intex Aqua Octa and Xolo Q3000. This dual-SIM handset offers 3G network support in one SIM and 2G network support in second. The Canvas Knight A350 features 5-inch IPS LCD display with full 1080p HD resolution. The display offers a crisp text and images with pixel density of 440 pixels per inch. Micromax has powered this smartphone with the octa-core 2 GHz MediaTek MT6592T mobile chipset which is paired with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB on-board storage. Sadly, there is no memory card slot.
Micromax has used a 16 megapixel camera with OmniVision Image Sensor coupled with M8 Largan Lens. The camera also works with Voice Command and offers several options such as touch focus, face detection, auto focus and more. This camera can record full HD videos as well. Sony Xperia M2 features a 4.8-inch LCD display with 960×540 pixel resolution. This display is not that great for a mid-range device as most of its competitors come with high definition (720p) native resolution. There are two versions of Xperia M2 – one version sports the 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 quad-core processor while the other has the LTE capable Snapdragon 400 MSM8926 processor. Since Sony has announced the Xperia M2 Dual with 3G connectivity for India, it is quite clear that it will come with the Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 chipset. Both the versions though have 1 GB RAM and the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update running on top of it.
At the rear, the Sony Xperia M2 has an 8 megapixel camera with Exmor RS image sensor. This camera module is equipped with Autoscene Recognition and HDR imaging modes. The Xperia M2’s camera also supports third party app integration for using other apps such as Vine and upload videos online. One can also record 1080p (full HD) videos using this camera. Sony has placed a VGA resolution front facing camera. Besides, the Xperia M2 Dual features a 2300 mAh battery inside and will be offered in Purple, White and Black colour options.

Nokia Lumia features a 4.5 inch touchscreen with 480×854 pixels resolution. This display has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is said to have wide viewing angle. The Lumia 630 is powered with quad core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512 MB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, and an expandable storage slot that can accommodate a micro SD card of up to 128 GB. The Lumia 630 runs on Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box. Nokia Lumia 630 has a 5 megapixel Autofocus rear camera with a ¼ inch sensor and f/2.4 aperture. This camera has 4x digital zoom, auto and manual exposure, auto and manual white balance, Panorama and Geotagging facility. The rear camera can capture high definition videos (720 pixels) in 30 frames per second. But it has no front camera.
Other noteworthy features of this phone include WiFi, A-GPS, A-GLONASS, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.0, and Micro USB 2.0. Lumia 630 9.2 mm thick handset weighs 134 grams despite having an 1830 mAh battery that claims to provide 13.1 hour of maximum 3G talktime or 16.4 hours of 2G talktime. Nokia Lumia 630 Dual SIM has a micro SIM slot and also offers dual Standby feature.
Moto G comes in two versions – 8 GB and 16 GB; the 8 GB version is priced at Rs 12,499 while the 16 GB model costs Rs 13,999. The Motorola Moto G comes with a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating too that provides some protection against the normal wear and tear. The Moto G is powered by a quad-core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 mobile chipset, Adreno 305 GPU, and 1 GB RAM. Motorla Moto G measures 11.6 mm thick and weighs 143 grams. Motorola has released Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for this phone recently.
At the rear, Moto G packs 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash along with imaging features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, face-detection, panorama and HDR. The camera can record HDR videos and videos at 720p (HD) quality. In the front, it has a 1.3 megapixel camera for making video calls. Motorola has packed WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) in the Moto G for faster mobile web experience. Moto G supports quad-band HSPA+ network for faster mobile internet and can accommodate a micro-SIM module. Other features of Moto G include Bluetooth 4.0, USB Host, micro USB 2.0 and GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS. The smartphone has a good looking 2070 mAh non-removable battery.
