The Karbonn Titanium S5 Plus, which is currently available for just under Rs 10,000, comes with 5 inch capacitive touchscreen with 960×540 pixels resolution. It has a 1.3 GHz quad core Processor which runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and 1 GB RAM. It has 4 GB ROM and 32 GB micro SD card slot as well.
The Titanium S5 Plus has an 8 megapixel auto rear camera, an LED flash, and a VGA front camera. This 3G phone has WiFi, Bluetooth A2DP, micro USB port, and GPS. It has an 1800 mAh battery.

Xolo Q900
It was launched last October for Rs 12,999, but is now available for around Rs 9.500. The Xolo Q900 comes with a 4.7 inch touchscreen with 1280×720 pixels resolution. This dual SIM handset has a 1.2 GHz quad core processor, Power VR SGX544 GPU, 1 GB RAM, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
The Xolo Q900 has a good looking 8 megapixel rear camera which is said to be capable of recording full HD videos. There is a 2 megapixel camera in its front. This 138 grams weighing handset has an 1800 mAh battery which claims to provide 10 hours of 3G talktime. Like most handsets under Rs 10,000, it too comes with 4 GB ROM and 32 GB micro SD card slot.
For connectivity, the Xolo Q900 has WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB 2.0, and 3.5 mm jack. It has GPS and FM radio as well. This phone is also armed with a bunch of Sensors including Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Magnetometer, and Proximity Sensor.
Though most e-retailers are offering this handset for around Rs 10,500, there are a couple of websites which are offering this handset for Rs 9,500.
The Canvas Plus comes with a 5 inch capacitive touch In-Plane switching (IPS) technology based display with 480 x 852 pixel Resolution and Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS. The device is powered by a Mediatek 6589 quad core processor running at 1.2 GHz. There is 1 GB RAM and 4 GB of internal storage in the phone out of which 1.93 MB will available for users to store their contents. The device also comes with an expandable storage capacity of up to 32 GB micro SD card slot.
The Canvas Plus sports an 8 megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2 megapixel front camera. The video capture resolution supported by the device is expected to be similar to the Canvas 2 which has ability to capture 720p (HD) resolution based videos.
The Micromax Canvas 2 Plus A110Q also sports a 2000 mAh battery pack that is likely to power this device for a good one day. The 3G handset has connectivity options like Bluetooth, WiFi and micro USB port for wired connectivity.

Spice Stellar Pinnacle Pro Mi-535
Earlier, it was available for around Rs 11,000 but now its price has been reduced to around Rs 9,500. Also, though it was launched in April last year, its specification still makes it one of the best handsets around under Rs 10,000.
First of all it comes with a 5.3 inch touchscreen with qHD (540×960 pixels) resolution. The phone comes armed with a 1.2 GHz quad core processor, which runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. But the highlight of the phone is its storage – it has 16 GB internal storage (12.6 GB available for users), 32 GB expandable storage slot, and 1 GB RAM. Another highlight of the phone is its camera – the Stellar Pinnacle Pro has an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera.
The Spice Stellar Pinnacle Pro also has a good looking 2550 mAh battery. This dual SIM smartphone has WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and even FM radio.

Nokia Asha 503
For non-Android lovers who wanted a much simpler handset for around Rs 5,000, the Nokia Asha 503 Dual SIM could be a decent choice. It supports two Micro SIM modules and also supports 3G network. The phone offers dual-standby mode as well. Its 3-inch display has been constructed using Corning Gorilla Glass technology. The Asha 503 Dual SIM runs the Nokia Asha software platform 1.2 to bring along several pre-loaded apps including WhatsApp.
At the back, the Asha 503 Dual SIM has a 5 megapixel camera and an LED flash. This camera can record QVGA quality videos. Nokia bundles a 4 GB micro SD card with the phone and one can always add up to 32 GB micro SD card for more storage. Nokia has packed a 1200 mAh battery to offer decent run time.
