Gone are the days when Nokia used to have monopoly over the mobile phone market. Now, there are dozens of smartphone makers in India. And together they churn out hundreds of smartphones every year. Now a situation has arrived where there are a number of smartphones with identical features, especially in the sub-Rs 10,000 price segment.

We have tried to bring best handsets list for every price bracket from time to time. Recently, we have covered the Top 5 smartphones under Rs 10,000, Top 5 smartphones between Rs 10,000-Rs 20,000, Top 5 smartphones between Rs 20,000 -Rs 30,000, and Top 5 smartphones above Rs 30,000.

However, being the most popular operating system, we felt it imperative to make a list of top 5 Android smartphones under Rs 10,000. We have selected the handsets on the basis of their features and some of them were also reviewed by The Mobile Indian in the past.

Spice Stellar Pinnacle Pro Mi-535

It was launched earlier this year in April for Rs 14,990 but now it is available for as low as Rs 9,999 (Saholic). We had also reviewed the Spice Stellar Pinnacle Pro which impressed us with its design, battery life, and 5 megapixel wide angle front camera.

The Spice Stellar Pinnacle Pro has an impressive list of features that include 1.2 GHz quad core processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 1 RAM, 16 GB internal storage (12.6 GB is available for users), and 32 GB micro SD card slot. Moreover, it has 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera with dual LED flash. On the front it has a huge 5 megapixel wide angle front camera.

For connectivity, this smartphone has Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, and micro USB port. It comes with GPS with A-GPS support for navigation. The Spice Stellar Pinnacle Pro Mi-535 has a huge 5.3 inch IPS-LCD display with 960×540 pixel resolution. To run this huge device, Spice has fitted a 2550 mAh Li-Po battery, which as we said in the review as well, gives very good back up.

Zen Ultrafone 701 HD

We too reviewed this handset and gave it nine out of 10 and that is due to its impressive design as well as performance. Currently it is available for around Rs 8,500 and comes with 5 inch IPS LCD touchscreen with high definition resolution. It has Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and 1.2 GHz quad core processor.

Besides, the Zen Ultrafone 701 HD has 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal storage, 32 GB expandable storage slot, 8 megapixel rear camera, and a 3.2 megapixel front camera. The 10 mm slim smartphone has dual slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, and micro USB port.

Xolo Q700

We too had reviewed this handset, which you can read here. The phone is available these days for around Rs 9,000 and had impressed us with its performance.

The Xolo Q700 comes with a 4.5 inch IPS screen with 540×960 pixels resolution. It is armed with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 1.2 GHz quad core processor, PowerVR SGX544 graphics processing unit, and 1 GB RAM. There is 32 GB expandable storage and 4 GB internal storage in the Q700 as well.

The 10.2 mm thick Xolo Q700 weighs 151.3 grams despite having a 2400 mAh battery. Due to this huge battery, this phone claims to have 16 hours of talktime and 350 hours standby on 3G networks. Besides, the dual SIM based Xolo Q700 has WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, micro USB, and 3G capabilities.

Besides it has the usual WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

Micromax Canvas Doodle A111

Few online retailers currently selling its for less than Rs 10,000 and it has decent features to justify the price tag. The Doodle A111 comes with a huge 5.3 inch touchscreen but with 480×854 pixels resolution. The phone is operated by Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and is run by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor. There is 512 RAM, 4 GB ROM, and expandable storage slot.

Besides, the Micromax Canvas Doodle A111 has 2100 mAh battery, 8 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, and GPS.
