The under Rs 10,000 segment is never been such attractive as it is today. In recent times, this segment has seen several powerful smartphones with latest Android KitKat operating system.
Here we have zeroed in on five smartphones which are considered as best in this segment at this point of time.
It was launched this June and has a terrific specification sheet. To start with, it comes with a 5 inch HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating. Currently, it is based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system but Asus has promised to release the Android 4.4 version soon. The Zenfone 5 has an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. It has a 2110 mAh battery that claims to offer superb 18 hours of 3G talktime. In terms of storage too it sits at the top with 8 GB internal storage and 64 GB expandable storage slot. Besides, this smartphone has dual SIM, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, FM radio, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS support.

It has a 4.3-inch display, 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 processor, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB on-board storage, 32 GB micro SD card slot, dual SIM, WiFi, Micro USB port, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou. It has FM radio as well. The Moto E has a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 1960 mAh battery but it doesn’t have any front camera.

Xolo Q2000L comes with a 5.5 inch IPS touchscreen with qHD resolution. This dual SIM smartphone has Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and 1.2 GHz Broadcom quad core processor. There is 1 GB RAM as well for smoother performance.
The Xolo Q2000L is 8.4 mm thick and has a fairly large 2500 mAh battery. This handset has 8 GB of internal storage and a 64 GB micro SD card slot. This dual SIM smartphone has the usual WiFi, Bluetooth, micro USB port, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS support, and FM radio as well.

Responding to the launch of Moto E, Micromax announced a slew of Android KitKat based smartphones including the Canvas Unite 2, Canvas Engage, and Canvas A105. Since we had reviewed this Micromax Canvas Unite 2, we choose it over others.
The Micromax Canvas Unite 2, which is priced at Rs 6,999, is also known for its support for 21 Indian languages. The Micromax Canvas Unite 2 is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor and is available in 4 bright colors -grey, white, red and green. The Unite 2 comes with a 4.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. It has a 2000 mAh battery, 5 megapixel rear camera, an LED flash, and a 2 MP front camera. Besides, it has expandable memory of 32 GB and has GPS, Bluetooth v4.0 and WiFi.
