iVoomi, the Chinese brand had launched the iVoomi Me1+ back in April. Priced at Rs 4,999 the phone is quite affordable in the budget segment. It has 9.8mm thin design and weighs around 130 grams. One of its significant features is the inclusion of Mali Graphics in the device. We did a detailed review on the iVoomi Me1+ and here are our findings.
Display and Accessories:
It features a 5-inch HD display with IPS technology. It is astonishing that the company could afford the 2.5D curved screen which has a screen Resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels within this price range. Under the sunlight, the phone can be used with maximum brightness. Additionally, the phone comes with a USB cable, a charging plug, and an earphone. Along with this, it has a warranty card which has a one year warranty on the phone and a six-month warranty on the accessories.
Performance:
The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It works pretty fine, but when it comes to the opening of three apps together, the processor doesn’t run as fast. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system which can be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat. It comes with a 16GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card. The storage capacity is pretty efficient. One can store movies or record videos without any second thoughts. In addition to that, the data transfer speed is not bad either. A 3.92 MB song transfer takes approximately 48 seconds to complete via Bluetooth. However, if we use the phone for a while, the backside of the phone heats up very quickly.
Design and Sound:
We noticed that the rose gold colour variant isn’t a catchy one. Furthermore, unlike the usual smartphones, the iVoomi Me1+ has the lock button on the left side which creates a bit of a mental hassle. For most users are habituated of using the power button on the right side of a smartphone. Nevertheless, the curved EDGE gives the phone a fine look. The smartphone has two Sim card slots and a microSD card slot. The charging point and Headphone port are placed at the top of the iVoomi Me1+. Adjusting the 3.5mm jack in the port is a bit of a struggle. Nonetheless, the sound quality of the speakers and the headphones are commendable. The soundtracks have a good clarity.
Battery life:
The iVoomi Me+ has a 3000 mAh Removable Battery with a 2A Fast charging Technology, but only on paper. When we actually kept it for charging the speed wasn’t that fast. Conversely, the battery doesn’t drains immediately when we are using any apps. It can last up to 18 to 20 hours approximately. Therefore, this is one of the plus points of this phone. However, its contemporary Redmi 4A has a better battery capacity.
