Gaming performance is impressive!
Coming to the gaming performance, the Redmi Note 8 Pro does a good job. We played some casual games like Steppy Pants, Temple Run 2 and Minion Rush. During our gameplay session, we did not notice any sort of lag or stutter and the whole experience was quite smooth.
Coming to the high-graphics games, we played PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9 on this smartphone. Starting with the PUBG Mobile, the game choose high settings by default. Interestingly, you can choose HDR graphics with Ultra frame rate on this smartphone. If you want to higher frame rate then you can put the Graphics to Smooth and Frame Rate to Extreme. During our gameplay, choose Smooth graphics with extreme frame rate and the results were quite impressive. The gameplay was buttery smooth and we did not face any problem with frame drops or lags.
However, we did notice the overheating issue on this smartphone. Despite the company claiming to feature liquid cooling, heat management is that great, to be honest. During our gameplay session, we did notice overheating issue on this smartphone and the area around the camera module was prone got hot within 15 minutes of gameplay.
