Intex Aqua Style Pro is another Android KitKat based smartphone that is priced under Rs 7,000 and it aims to compete with Motorola Moto E, Redmi 1S, and the newly launched Android One smartphones.
The smartphone comes with decent features for a handset priced at Rs 6,990 including 4.5-inch IPS display with 854×480 pixel resolution, a quad-core 1.2 GHz Broadcom BCM23550M mobile chipset, 1 GB RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat, 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, a 2 megapixel front camera, 8 GB on-board storage, 32 GB microSD card slot, FM Radio, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, and an 1800 mAh battery.
Design and Display
Intex Aqua Style Pro is quite slim, with a thickness of just 8.8 mm. It is also quite light. The handset has also a matte finish back panel, making it much easier to handle. The device’s overall finish is quite good and feels sturdy but the protruding rear camera unit is prone to scratches. Its right and left hand sides are curved and thus gives good grip.
The front display is though a finger print magnet but does not get scratches easily. However, you must use a screen protector. The 4.5 inch display has 480×854 pixels resolution which means it has healthy 217 ppi pixel density. Its brightness though is just enough for outdoors.

Hardware and Performance
The Intex Aqua Style Pro is armed with 1.2 GHz Broadcom BCM23550M mobile chipset, 1 GB RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat, and VideoCore IV HW graphics processing unit. The combination does a decent job in running apps and mid-range games like Sonic Dash with ease. That’s why it got a decent score of 12281 on Antutu benchmark.
The phone has got two SIM slots of which only one is compatible with 3G network but this is common to most Android devices. Besides, it has WiFi and Bluetooth. The phone takes a bit of time to get connected to WiFi but it wasn’t a deal breaker.
There is an 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery in the Style Aqua Pro. With mixed usage, it does lasts for about 10 hours. To give you some perspective, the phone consumes about 10 per cent charge in playing half an hour video with full brightness and volume.

Rating for battery back up: 5/10
Camera
The Intex Aqua Style Pro comes with an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. There are two LED flash lights in its back panel as well.
The rear camera however never worked like a true 8 megapixel unit. The images clicked via the rear camera lacks detail and most of the time were gloomy even though clicked in bright outdoors. It also takes a awful long time to focus on objects. The front camera and the LED flash lights though serve their purpose well. Below are the images that we have clicked using the rear camera.
