The AirTyme GTX75 Torrid mobile handset comes in slider form factor with QWERTY keypad for easy typing for the users. The phone comes with a display size of 2.8 inches and TFT resistive touchscreen. The AirTyme GTX75 Torrid sports a 1.3 Megapixel camera with display resolution of 1280X1024 pixels and Digital Zoom as well. Users may already be aware the digital zoom facility pixelates the pictures, and the same happens with the images taken on this handset also.
The Java operating system based phone also comes with popular apps like Facebook, Yahoo, AOL, MSN, Twitter, Snaptu, Nimbuzz and Gtalk. On the negative side, the phone is bulky, as most of the phones these days are slicker than this one and then there is no FM radio or WiFi either. It has a 1200 mAh battery which looks good on paper, but even when the phone was not used, the battery seemed to go down quicker than expected.
The Airtyme Torrid supports Java apps and comes armed with Bluetooth connentivity as well. The phone responds well to touch, as the touchscreen is more responsive than expected for the price and its slider is smooth. The USB port is a propriety one so procuring the charger may not be that easy if you lose the original charger. Last but not the least is the voice dialing feature which responds well to the Voice commands and seemed to be accurate.
For the price, the phone responds quickly to touch and opens apps quickly, but at the time when users are getting used to large number of Android apps or other App stores on their phones, the phone seems to be late to the market. The users are stuck with what they are given on the phone, not what they’d like to get.
The phone comes just 27 MB of Internal Memory and can be expanded upto 4GB through Micro SD card. It has a Lithium-ion 1200 mAh battery and allows users a Talk time of up to 4 hours and another good part, it supports Google Maps.

It is an affordable phone since there is no WiFi connectivity, users will not feel free to download or upload as much data as they’d like to. The video formats supported includes 3GP and MP4.
