Vivo S1: 12 Things you should know!

Vivo is all set to launch a new S-Series smartphone in India on August 7. The company has sent media invites for the upcoming launch on the said date. The company has also roped in Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan for the promotion of the new Vivo S-series phone.

Coming to the design, the Vivo S1 features a gradient finish at the back panel, which gives a diffrerent look as compared to other Vivo smartphones. This is the first smartphone from Vivo in the S-series.

The smartphone is said to be equipped with a 6.38-inch Full HD+ display with a screen Resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It also features a waterdrop design at the top panel.

Vivo S1 will feature triple slots, meaning that users can use two SIMs and a microSD card at the same time. The SIM Slot is situated at left side of the device along with a Smart button, which is meant to activate Google Assistant.

Vivo S1 is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 processor. The phone is said to feature 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, though there could be other storage variants as well.

This is yet another smartphone from Vivo that will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

On the software front, the phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie, which is based on FunTouch OS 9.0. The base panel of the device features a micr USB port, which is flanked between speaker grilles and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Vivo S1 will feature a triple-camera setup at the back panel. The setup comes with a combination of 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.78 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 Wide-Angle lens and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens.

As for the expected price is concerned, it is reported that Vivo S1 will start from Rs 17,990 which will be its pricing for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. There will be two other variants – 6GB RAM and 128GB storage which will likely to cost Rs 19,990 and 8GB RAM and 128GB storage which is said to be priced at Rs 24,990.

For the front, the device features a waterdrop notch design and it is equipped with a 32-megapixel AI selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Vivo S1 is expected to be backed by a 4500mAh battery and it is expected to be available with dual-engine fast cahrging support.

n terms of connectivity, the device supports 4G VoLTE, Dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, micro USB 2.0, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack. The phone measures 159.53 x 75.23 x 8.13mm and it weighs 179 gram.
