The Sony Xperia Z2 is a well crafted handset. It weighs just 163 grams and is just 8.2 mm thick. It comes with a beautiful one-piece aluminium frame with glass panels.

Not only it is quite good to look at, the Sony Xperia Z2 is a tough handset too. It comes with water and dust proof capability as its predecessor, the Xperia Z.

The Xperia Z2 features a 5.2-inch full HD TRILUMINOS display with Live Colour LED for mobile and X-Reality picture engine. This display promises more realistic and vivid visual images. By default the display supports 1920×1080 pixel resolution.
4Processor
Sony has powered the Xperia Z2 with the 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM9874AB quad-core Processor and the Adreno 330 GPU.
5Operating System
The Xperia Z2 offers Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system with a new Sony Xperia interface.
6Rear Camera
The Xperia Z2 packs a 20.7 Megapixel camera with G Lens optics and Exmor RS imaging sensor. The camera module is powered by the BIONZ mobile image processing engine that is expected to offer sharp images with vivid colours and least possible noise.
7Camera Quality
Xperia Z2 is capable enough to record 4K Resolution video and thanks to its SteadyShot image stabilisation technology, you can expect a steady video. Sony has also packed a high density stereo microphone to record high quality stereo audio along with the 4K resolution video recording.
8Front camera
In the front, the Sony Xperia Z2 has a 2.2 megapixel camera which too can capture full HD images and videos.
9Battery
Sony has packed a 3200 mAh battery inside the Xperia Z2 which should provide good talktime as well as standby.
10Storage
It has 3 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, and an expandable storage slot that can accommodate a micro SD card of upto 128 GB.
11Connectivity
It is 4G (LTE) enabled handset but as of now it is not clear whether it supports India’s 4G network or not. Anyway, it has 3G connectivity as well as WiFi support for fast internet access.
12Price
Sony Xperia Z2 has been priced at Rs 49,999 for India and will be available in the market from May 12. Sony announced that buyers will also get the Sony smartband, which is worth Rs 5,590, for free with the Xperia Z2.
