Huawei Honor 6X Camera Samples

Huawei Honor 6X features a dual-camera set up at the back with a combination of a 12-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor while at the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies.

Starting with some daylight shots, the rear-facing 12+2 camera set up took a good picture with decent amount of colour accuracy and light. The image boasts a fair amount of detail and sharpness as well, however, the highlights are a little over-exposed for our liking.

Testing the feature in artificial lighting, the dual-camera setup does a good job of bringing out a natural yet effective bokeh effect in this one. Although the exposure is little on the higher side, the image came out to be decent.

Getting our hands on the famous bokeh effect, the dual-camera setup at the back does a good job of blurring out the background in this picture. However, you have to be really on point in order to get results like this.

Another pick from out daylight shots, this picture brings out some decent detail and sharpness as well. The colours though not much vibrant are accurate and looks natural. We didn’t play around with bokeh effect on this picture so the natural amount of shallow depth of field is on par in our opinion.

Another prime example of the how well can the bokeh effect come out if clicked properly even in low-light conditions. The foreground i.e. the glass appears to be crisp and clear with a pretty impressive amount of light. The image is a bit grainy but we will give this one majorly due to the solid bokeh effect implementation

Next shot in low-light conditions showcases Honor 6X’s ability to handle the light levels even in darker areas like this one. Further, zooming in, you will be surprised by the amount of detail the camera managed to capture. The graphic on the bottles are clearly visible despite the source of the light situated at the back of the bottles.

Up till now, you must have got an idea about the low-light performance of this camera. Another shot to compliment the performance, the dual-camera set up here did a decent job handling glare. The colours appear to be accurate as well and overall, the picture really summarizes the low-light performance of this camera

Now for the low-light, this is where the camera shines. The dual-camera setup of the Honor 6X clicked a pretty impressive picture in an extremely low-light condition. The amount of lighting, sharpness and even the dynamic range is also commendable. On top of this, the camera manages to blur out the background as well, thanks to the well managed dual-camera set-up at the back.

Moving on to slightly low-lighting conditions, the camera on the Honor 6X does a good job of having enough detail and sharpness in the picture. However, the colours are a bit washed out in this one. It does happen sometimes with the Honor 6X but if clicked right, images do come out to be pretty good.

We played around with the software optimisations that comes with the bokeh menu. We blurred out the foreground in the left image and blurred out the background in the right.

Moving on to the selfie camera. The front-facing 8-megapixel camera does a good job in terms of detail, however, we would have liked a little more colour in this picture in particular. The front camera also tends to wash out the colours a little bit in low-light as well.
