It comes in three versions: Regular Watch, Watch Edition (made from 18k gold), and Watch Sport which is made to be light and durable. It comes in 38mm and 42mm case sizes. Apple is also offering a range of straps with the Watch.

The Regular version is made of stainless steel while the Watch Edition comes in 18-carat yellow and rose gold versions. The Sport version has collection cases are made from lightweight anodised aluminium in silver and space grey. The display is protected by strengthened Ion-X glass and the matching fluoroelastomer strap comes in five different colours.

Its Retina Display is laminated to a machined and polished single crystal of sapphire which claims to be the hardest tranparent material, next to diamond. On watches in the Sport collection, protection is provided by strengthened Ion‑X glass.

It acts as a health and fitness companion and allows you to send/receive messages, show direction, and receive calls.

Digital Touch features on Apple Watch allows the user to communicate in different ways to other Watch wearers: like sending heartbeat, using it as a walkie talkie, etc.

The Apple Watch comes with Siri, the voice assistant already available on some iPhones. Users can ask about the weather or find nearby businesses.

It uses multiple technologies in conjunction with your iPhone to keep time within 50 milliseconds of the definitive global time standard. Also, it checks against the definitive global time standard with the same precision found in GPS satellites. If you move from one time zone to another, Apple Watch automatically adjusts. So you never once have to set it yourself.

Sadly, this watch is compatible iPhone 5 and higher models like the iPhone 5s and the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus only. So if you are planning to use it with any other smartphone, just forget it.

Apple Watch will be made available next year in several versions with a starting price of $349 or Rs 21,245 approximately. But as usual, its price would be much higher than the aforementioned price due to taxes.
