ZTE launches enhanced Axon 7 with force touch and 6GB RAM

The Force Touch display technology is quite similar to Apple's 3D Touch on iPhones.

ZTE has announced the launch of an upgraded version of ZTE Axon 7 which is named as Limited Edition ZTE Axon 7 at $499.98 (approximately Rs 34,030). The new version comes with Force Touch technology and improved memory configuration. It is available at the company’s online US store for purchase and comes in Ion Gold colour option. The ZTE Axon 7 was first launched in May this year in China followed by Europe and US.

The Force Touch display technology is quite similar to Apple’s 3D Touch on iPhones which allows performing different functions with a slight change in pressure. For instance, with a longer press, you might activate sharing functionality in the gallery while a light press might be attributed to the editing function.
ZTE launches enhanced Axon 7
The Limited Edition ZTE Axon 7 comes with a 5.5-inch QHD (2560x1440p) AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display and a 2.15 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 6GB of and 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via micro card. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor which is located on its back panel. The Limited Edition ZTE Axon 7 features a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device.

It runs on 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with MiFlavor UI 4.0 on top while 3250 mAh battery power this phone. The handset has Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology for faster charging. On the camera front, the device has a 20-megapixel autofocus rear camera with a dual tone LED flashlight, PDAF laser focusing and an of f/1.8and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.2 for selfies and video chats. Besides, the smartphone offers hybrid Dual SIM, 4G/LTE, WiFi, GPS with GLONASS, USB Type-C, NFC and 4.2. The handset measures 151.7 x 75 x 7.9 mm and it weighs 185 grams.

The earlier launched ZTE Axon 7 has three variants – a 4GB RAM model with 64GB storage model which is priced at 2,899 yuan (approximately Rs 29,648), another 4GB RAM model with 128GB storage model costs 3,299 yuan (approximately Rs 33,739), whereas the top variant has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model and is priced at 4099 yuan (approximately Rs 41,914).

The ZTE Axon 7 features 5.5-inch AMOLED (2560 x 1440 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is fitted with a Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor, which is paired with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB/6GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB of internal storage, and an expandable storage slot for up to 128GB capacity. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with MiFavor UI 4.0 on top of it and is backed up by a 3250mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

The Axon 7 has a 20-megapixel shooter with Dual LED flash, Samsung Isocell sensor, sapphire lens, PDAF, OIS, the f/1.8 aperture on the back panel, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Besides, the smartphone offers Hybrid Dual SIM, LTE, WiFi (802.11 ac/a/b/g/n), NFC, Fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. The handset measures 151.7×75×7.9mm and weighs 185 grams.
