Zopo has launched a new budget friendly smartphone, named as Zopo Hero 2. The smartphone is priced at $69.99 (approximately Rs 4,677) and is now available for pre-order on Gearbest.com. The Hero 2 comes in black, white and golden color options and will be made available to customers from September 9 onwards.
The Zopo Hero 2 features a 5.5 inch HD (1280 × 720 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core (MTK6737) processor, which is paired with Mali T720-MP1, 1 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable to up-to 64 GB via a micro SD card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and comes packed with a 2300 mAh battery.
The Hero 2 has an 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM (Dual Standby), 4G, GPS/A-GPS, WiFi (802.11a/b/g/n), and Bluetooth 4.0.
Zopo Hero 2 looks like a toned down version of Zopo Hero 1 smartphone, which was launched in India in the month of February this year for Rs 12,000. Hero 1 had 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. Whereas Hero 2 has only 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. However, if you consider the pricing, then the Hero 2 is well placed against its competitors in the sub 5K category.
