Zen Mobile Ultrafone Amaze 701 FHD, the successor to the Ultrafone 701HD, has been launched for Rs 17,999. It is the first full HD smartphone in Zen’s portfolio.
The Amaze 701 FHD is a dual SIM smartphone that has a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixel) IPS OGS display and boasts of Corning Gorilla Glass 2. It runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and has 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 64 GB via a micro SD card. On the camera front it has a 13-megapixel Autofocus rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It drives it power from a 2050mAh battery.
Zen Mobile had forayed into the smartphone market last year with the launch of Zen Ultraphone U1. The dual SIM phone was based on Android 2.3 and ran on a 1 GHz processor. It had features like a 3.5 inch HVGA (480 × 320 pixel) capacitive touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, GPRS/EDGE, WiFi and Bluetooth. Crucially, the phone missed out on 3G connectivity.
