YotaPhone 3 has been reported announced at a conference in Northern China. The successor of YotaPhone 2, which is known for dual display, will come in 64GB and 128GB storage variants for $350 (approx. Rs 22,539) and $450 (approx. Rs 28,978) respectively.
According to a report by Engadget, the smartphone will be available in the early fall of this year in Russia and China. However, there is no news about the Indian availability and pricing. The major highlight of the device is the E-ink display at the rear panel of the smartphone, while at the front, there will be an AMOLED screen.
The YotaPhone 3 will sport a 5.5-inch AMOLED Display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, while at the back, there is a 5.2-inch HD E Ink touchscreen. The phone also sports a fingerprint sensor on the front side.
Talking about some key specifications, the report further highlights that the smartphone will come 4GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual flash, 13-megapixel front-facing camera, 3200mAh battery and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor.
To recall, the company launched YotaPhone in India in 2014. However, the brand skipped YotaPhone 2. The smartphone was available through Flipkart for Rs 23,499 and comes with two 4.3 inch displays. One of the display remains turned on always, even if the phone is drained out of power which has been made possible with electronic paper technology. This screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and has 640×300 pixels resolution and to control it there is a touch zone under the display.
The main screen, which is of 4.3-inch size, comes with high definition resolution and capacitive touch input.
Besides, the YotaPhone has 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 400 dual-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 1800 mAh battery, 13-megapixel rear auto focus camera which is assisted by a LED flash, and a 1-megapixel front camera. The smartphone has A-GPS with GLONASS for navigation. It has a micro SIM card slot, 3.5 mm connector, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and WiFi (a/b/g/n).
