Motorola has announced the Android Honeycomb 3.2 update for its Xoom tablets which will enable users to use the SD card for storage along with the internal 32GB memory. But, the SD card can be used only as a read only device.
Hence, users can write to the SD card from their PC or can use the Android File Transfer on Mac or a cable transfer on Windows to transfer files from the Motorola Xoom to the SD Card. However, a user won’t be allowed to move apps to the SD card.
The device comes equipped with 32 GB of on-board memory that provides plenty of storage. Users can also store and play videos or music from the SD card if the content was copied to the SD card via the PC file transfer processes.
Besides, users will also not be able to save the videos or photographs taken from the device on to the Memory card and the same will be saved on the Internal Memory only. So users will again have to connect the device to the computer to take a backup of all the videos and pictures clicked using the device.
