Xolo has quietly introduced its first Windows Phone 8.1 mobile platform based smartphone – Win Q900s. The new Xolo Win Q900s features a Dual-SIM configuration and hardware closely competes with the Nokia Lumia 630 Dual SIM. It is priced at Rs 11,999 and is available for pre-order from Snapdeal website for Rs 9,999.
Xolo is one of the Indian companies working closely with Microsoft to bring affordable dual-SIM Windows Phone devices. The new Win Q900s is the Xolo’s first Windows Phone 8.1 mobile platform running smartphone in the Indian market.
Xolo Win Q900s offers a 4.7-inch IPS display with 720p (HD) resolution. This display is constructed using the Dragontrail Glass protection and aims to make the phone slim. Eventually the 4.7-inch HD IPS display pushes the Pixel density of 312 pixels per inch.
Xolo has powered the Win Q900s with a quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 mobile system-on-chip coupled with 1 GB RAM. The phone offers 8 GB on-board storage out of which only 5 GB is available to the users. Thankfully the Memory card slot support allows adding up to 32 GB micro SD card.
Xolo Win Q900s supports Dual SIM and out of two SIM cards it supports one 3G network enabled SIM. Other than that, the phone offers support for WiFi and Bluetooth for wireless connectivity. Location based services are aided with the GPS support.
At the rear is a 8 Megapixel Purecel Sensor loaded camera with LED flash and Autofocus for fairly decent imaging experience. The camera is capable of clicking high Resolution images and recording 720p (HD) videos. In its front rests a 2 megapixel camera for self portraits or video calls enabled by Skype. Weighing just about 100 grams, the Win Q900s is only 7.2 mm thick.
Xolo has packed a 1800 mAh capacity battery inside to power the smartphone. Microsoft promises great Dual-SIM experience but has not given any confirmed word on whether WIndows Phone 8.1 will manage power judiciously.
Xolo Win Q900s is expected to be available in July and right now is only available for pre-order.
