Xolo, which has announced its first hexa core smartphone – the Xolo Play 6X 1000, has also announced the launch of a 4 inch smartphone with Android KitKat, called as Xolo Q500s IPS.
The Xolo Q500s IPS has a 4 inch IPS display with 480×800 pixels resolution. The display though supports only 2 point touches as compared to the usual 5 point touch system. The phone has though the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and is powered by a 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6582M quad core processor. However, it has only 512 MB RAM. It has also only 4 GB Internal Memory of which about 2 GB is expected for the user; there is a 32 GB micro SD card in the Q500s IPS as well.
The Xolo Q500s IPS has a 5 Megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel front camera – both the camers are of fixed focus in nature. This dual SIM smartphone comes with Bluetooth 3.0, Micro USB 2.0 port, and WiFi support.
There is a 1500 mAh battery in the Xolo Q500s IPS which claims to offer talktime of 16.1 and 7.6 hours on 2G and 3G networks respectively. Besides, it has Accelerometer, Ambient light, and Proximity sensors.
At Rs 5,999, the Xolo Q500s IPS certainly looks attractive but it has many competitors including the Motorola Moto E, Micromax Canvas Engage, Canvas Unite 2, Lava Iris X1, Intex Aqua i14 etc.
