Xolo has announced another low cost smartphone, the A1010, at Rs 5,499. Standalone, the smartphone looks okay but when you consider the plethora of devices that are available at the same price point, one would tend to think has Xolo launched a old device now?
For instance, currently almost all Android smartphone above Rs 5,000 have quad core processor but the Xolo A1010 offers a 1 GHz dual core CPU and that too with only 512 MB RAM. For storage it offers only 4 GB of memory while 8 GB is becoming norm of the day.
The 5 inch IPS display of Xolo A1010 offers only 854×480 pixels density. It also offers Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and not Android Lollipop which is being rolled out for many devices. Infact just days ago Xolo rolled out the latest software for its Xolo One smartphone.
The Xolo A1010 though has a 32 GB expandable storage slot and comes with USB OTG cable support. It also has a decent looking 2500 battery that claims to offer 15 hours and 27 minutes of 3G talktime. It also offers 5 megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB 2.0 port, WiFi, and AGPS.
