Xioami Jason to launch as Xiaomi Mi 6X?

Xioami Jason is expected to launch in August this year.

A week back, a Xiaomi device named as Xioami Jason was found listed on GFXBench benchmarking website which reports said that Xiaomi Jason might be the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6c. Now as per a report of GizmoChina, the Xioami Jason may be launched as the Xiaomi Mi 6X.

The report further says that the Xioami Jason is expected to launch in August this year and will be priced at 1999 Yuan which is approximately Rs 18,904. The Xiaomi Jason will be featuring a Snapdragon 660 but as per the report, the device might also come with its own Surge S2 as another variant.

As per the earlier listing on GFXBench, Xiaomi Jason has a 5.1-inch display that has 1920×1080 pixels and five finger gesture support. Besides as per the listing, it has Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 2.2 GHz octa-core processor, 6GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage out of which 50GB will be reserved for the users, Adreno 512 and 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. The listing, however, does not mention anything about the battery.

As per the benchmark listing, the Xiaomi Jason has a 12-megapixel camera and a flash on its rear panel while a 4-megapixel camera is in its front for selfies. The GFX listing shows that the device has connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPS, and WiFi. As per the listing, the device has accelerometer, light, proximity and gyroscope as well.

The difference between Xiaomi Mi 6 and Xiaomi Jason is its processor and front camera. The Xiaomi Mi 6 has a Snapdragon 835 chipset as against Snapdragon 660 in Jason while Mi 6 has an 8-megapixel front camera and Mi 6c has a 4-megapiel camera. As per specs, Xiaomi Jason is considered to be the lower variant of Mi 6.
