Xiaomi unveils Mi Note, and 4 GB RAM based Mi Note Pro

Both the Xiaomi Mi Note and Mi Note Pro offer high end features and huge 5.7 inch display.

Xiaomi, which operates in India under the brand name Mi, has launched two huge phablets in China – Mi Note and Mi Note Pro. The Xiaomi Mi Note has been announced in two versions – the 16 GB variant to cost 2299 Yuan or Rs 22,896 while the 64 GB version will retail for 2799 Yuan or about Rs 27,879 in China. The Mi Note Pro comes in 64 GB storage version only and has a price tag of 3299 yuan or Rs 32,881 approximately.

The Xiaomi Mi Note has a 5.7 inch display with full display. The metal body of Mi Note has 3D curved Gorilla Glass 3 as the display. It runs on Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz processor, Adreno 330 GPU and 3 GB RAM. The Mi Note offers dual SIM (micro/nano) with dual standby, 13 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation and f/2.0 aperture. In the front it has a 4 megapixel camera. The Xiaomi Mi Note offers a 3000 mAh battery.

The Mi Note Pro offers an octa core Snapdragon 810 processor, Adreno 430 GPU, 4 GB DDR4 RAM, 64 GB internal storage, and 4G connectivity with up to 450 Mbps download speed. Its huge 5.7 inch display has humongous ((2560×1440 at 515 PPI) resolution.

Xiaomi till date has offered budget devices with attractive features but these two new devices have very high end features and also are priced in the mid-range segment. So it will be interesting to see whether Xiaomi start a new phase in India with these mid-range devices or will stick to the budget segment in India.
