Last year, Xiaomi announced the Mi TV 4A television series. Now it has added the newest member in the series. The new Mi TV 4A has a 50-inch screen. Earlier, Xiaomi had launched 32 inches, 43 inch, 49 inch, 55 inch and 65 inch TV sets under the series.
The new Mi TV 4A has a 50-inch screen that offers a 4K display (3840 x 2160 pixels resolution). It is said to have 178-degree wide angle view and 5000:1 contrast ratio. A 1.5 GHz quad-core Amlogic L962 Cortex-A53 processor with 750MHz Mali-450 MP3 GPU powers this device along with 2 GB RAM. It offers 8 GB of Internal Memory too.
The 50 inch Mi TV 4A is based on Android operating system and has the MIUI interface. In this, there are connectivity options like WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, Mi Port, 3 x HDMI, AV, 2 x USB and Ethernet. It also supports HDR 10 and HLG,H.263, H.264, H.265 and MPEG1 video formats. There are two 8W speakers and it comes with DOLBY AUDIO / DTS- HD audio dual decoding support.
It is available for pre-booking in China and will go on sale from January 19. Currently, Xiaomi TVs are not available in India. However, last month Xiaomi’s India MD Manu Kumar Jain had said that the company is planning to enter the TV space in the country. So hopefully we will soon see Xiaomi brings its TVs to India too.
