Xiaomi is all set to open its first Mi Home retail store in Delhi-NCR region on August 19. The store will be located at Ambience Mall, Gurugram and it will be the fourth Mi Home store in the country.
Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director, Xiaomi India, has announced this new through his official Twitter handle. The tweet reads, “I love our simple, elegant and minimalist design! Visit us this weekend at Ambience mall Gurgaon & share your feedback.” Xiaomi has opened three Mi Home stores in Bengaluru and this is the first store that will be opened in North India.
Further, users can pre-book their favourite smartphone at Rs 999 and can collect the device at Mi Home Ambience Mall, Gurugram on August 19. The brand is also offering freebie worth Rs 599 with every pre-booking and one can collect with his/her smartphone from the store on August 19.
For the unintended, Xiaomi Mi Store is basically an exclusive retail store where the company will showcase its vast product portfolio which includes smartphones, accessories, Mi Purifier 2 and more. Users can experience and purchase the latest products through these stores. Further, the store will also showcase product ranges that are not launched in India as well. The company is also planning to open 100 more stores in India in next two years and will set up Mi Home experience zones as well.
Upcoming Mi Home stores will be located in other metro cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. Further, select Mi Home stores will also have an additional zone where fans can experience the larger Xiaomi portfolio.
With this, Xiaomi is now eying the retail market as well. Xiaomi will continue to expand its offline presence with retailers and distributors in the country through its Direct to Retail (DTR) model which eliminates several layers within the offline distribution channel. This will allow Xiaomi to maintain price parity between products sold across both its online and offline channels. Today, Xiaomi is present in more than 10,000 offline stores and is selling in more than 14,000 PIN codes each week through its online partners.
