Xiaomi is all set to launch its first dual-camera smartphone in India. As per a tweet by Manu Kumar Jain, Vice President and Managing Director, Xiaomi India, the company will be launching a dual-camera smartphone by next month.
His tweet reads, “Can’t wait for you guys to check out Xiaomi’s first dual-camera phone in India! Coming next month! Can you guess which one?” However, he did not reveal the device name, but many believe it could be either Xiaomi Mi 6 or the recently-launched Mi 5X. Both the devices come are equipped with dual rear cameras, however, Mi 6 is company’s flagship model, while the Mi 5X is a mid-ranger. It would be interesting to see which smartphone the company is planning to launch next month.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 comes loaded with two 12-megapixel Sensors at the back with one being a Wide-Angle lens with 4-axis Optical Image stabilisation and another being a 12-megapixel telephoto camera for 2x lossless zoom.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi 5X boasts a dual camera setup of 12-megapixel rear cameras, one with wide-angle with 1.25-micron pixel sensor and f/2.2 aperture, and the other is telephoto with 1-micron pixel sensor and f/2.6 aperture).
Coming to the specifications, the Xiaomi Mi 6 features a 5.15-inch Full HD (1080p) display. It is powered by a latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 64 bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.45GHz, which is clubbed with Adreno 540 GPU, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with MIUI 8 on top of it.

The device gets its strength from a 3350mAh battery which is coupled with MIUI optimisations which enable the Mi 6 to last up to a full day. On its front, it has an 8-megapixel snapper for selfies and video calling. For connectivity, this smartphone supports 4G network with VoLTE and offers Dual SIM, Dual speakers, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GLONASS, NFC and USB-Type C.
On the other hand, the recently-launched Xiaomi Mi 5X comes with a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) curved glass display with brightness up to 450 nits and is powered by 2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and Adreno 506 GPU coupled with 4GB RAM.
The hybrid dual SIM based smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat based MIUI 9 operating system and has a 3080 mAh battery. For the selfies, it features a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS with AGS/GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio Jack and USB Type C port.
