Xiaomi starts rolling out MIUI 11 update to Redmi Note 5

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 latest update brings the October security patch.

Xiaomi has now started rolling out the MIUI 11 update to its Redmi Note 5 smartphone in India. The new update also brings the October security patch to the device.

The stable MIUI 11update has the build number MIUI v11.0.2.0 and it is 493MB in size. The update, however, is still based on Android Pie and not on latest Android 10.

MIUI 11 stable update brings a lot of new features like new dynamic sound effects inspired by the sounds of nature including animal, water and fire noises, new minimalistic design, revamped Settings app, video wallpapers, Steps Tracker, Wallpaper Carousel, updated Mi File Manager app, dark mode, and even a Floating Calculator, update Mi Tasks and more to the device.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 along with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone is backed by 3GB of and 32GB of internal storage, and 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage option.

The phone is equipped with a 5.99-inch Full display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, a colour contrast ratio of 1000:1 and 450-nits brightness. On the camera front, it has a 12-megapixel primary lens with 1.25-micron pixel and f/2.2 aperture. For the front, the phone has a 5-megapixel camera with flash and Beautify 3.0.
