Xiaomi Redmi S2 passes 3C certification in China

Xiaomi Redmi S2 is said to run on Android 8.1.0 Oreo operating system and is fueled by 3000 mAh battery.

Xiaomi is working on its next budget smartphone named as Redmi S2. The smartphone was recently spotted on TENAA certification website with model number M1803E6E. The smartphone has now got the necessary 3C certification in China. The listing indicates the launch of the said smartphone is around the corner.

Sadly, the 3C listing doesn’t reveal any specifications of the Redmi S2, but we already know the expected specifications from the TENAA listing.

As per the listing, Xiaomi Redmi S2 features a 5.99-inch display that has an display with 1440 x 720 resolution. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 which is coupled with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM. It offers 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal storage, 256GB expandable memory, dual rear camera of a 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel and 16-megapixel front-facing camera. There’s a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well.

The phone runs on 8.1.0 Oreo operating system and is fueled by 3000 mAh battery. Connectivity options for the smartphone include VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS and a port. The dimensions of the phone are 160.73 x 77.26 x 8.1 mm, and it weighs 170 grams. The device is listed in Black, rose gold, gold, white, blue, red, pink, gray, silver colours. The phone has Gravity sensor, distance sensor and a light sensor as per the listing.

Xiaomi will be releasing the Redmi S2 exclusively in India and China as per the firmware leaked before, though we still need official confirmation regarding the launch date or the price of the device.
