Xiaomi upcoming smartphone, the Redmi Note 5, has been spotted on Chinese regulatory website, TENAA, revealing some key specifications. The website has shared some images of the upcoming smartphone as well.
To start with the image, which is in line with previous leaks, it is certain that the smartphone will come loaded with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The listing reveals that the device will come in black gold, white, blue, red, gray, silver, gold and rose gold colour options.
Coming to the specifications, the listing reveals that Redmi Note 5 will feature a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a screen Resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The phone will be powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor, which could either a Qualcomm or MediaTek processor. Earlier leaks suggest that the phone could be powered by MediaTek P25 or P30 chipset, while there could be a high-end variant with Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor.
Coming to the listing, the phone will be backed by a 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage, which could be expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card. On the camera front, the Redmi Note 5 will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The Redmi Note 5 will sport a fingerprint sensor, which is present at the back panel and an Infrared sensor on the top.
The phone will be juiced up by a 4000mAh battery and it will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with MIUI 9 running on top of it. On the connectivity front, the device support 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS and Dual-SIM support. The phone will measure 158.5 x 75.45 x 8.05 mm and weighs 179.5 grams.
