Xiaomi is recently launched its next-generation of budget-centric smartphones, the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A. The company is yet to announce the Redmi 6 Pro phone in China. Now, a new report reveals that all the three smartphones will be launched in India soon.
According to a report by Mysmartprice, Xiaomi is planning to launch the Redmi 6 series within two months in the country. The report further highlights that Xiaomi will not launch its flagship device, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE and Mi Band 3 in India for the next two or three months at least.
To recall, the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A were launched in China in on June 12. Both the phones are available in Gray, Gold, Rose Gold and Blue colours. The Redmi 6A is priced at 699 yuan (approx. Rs 6,300), the 32GB and 64GB variants of the Redmi 6 is available for 799 yuan (approx. Rs 8,400) and 999 yuan (approx. Rs 10,520) respectively. On the other, Xiaomi is scheduled to launch the Redmi 6 Pro in China on June 25.
Talking about key specifications of Redmi 6 and 6A, both of them sport a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS display with 720 x 1440 pixel resolution and an 18:9 elongated front screen. The Redmi 6 is powered by an octa-core 2GHz Helio P22 SoC. The internals is coupled with either 3GB/32GB or 4GB/64GB configurations with support for a microSD card. The Redmi 6 features a dual-camera setup with a combination of 12MP + 5MP with AI functionality. For the front, there is a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.
The Redmi 6A features a MediaTek Helio A22 quad-core Processor along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The phone features a 13-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. Redmi 6 and 6A both run on Android 8.1 Oreo and both of them is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
