Xiaomi Redmi 5A launched with 5-inch HD display and Android Nougat

On the camera front, the Redmi 5A sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, LED Flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.

Xioami has today launched the Xiaomi Redmi 5A smartphone in China which is a successor of Xiaomi Redmi 4A smartphone launched in India this year. The new Redmi 5A is priced at 599 Yuan which is approximately Rs 5,884. The smartphone will be available for purchase on both online and offline channels. The sale would commence at 10 AM tomorrow via Mi Mall, Mi Home, JD.com, Lynx, Suning Tesco, Mi Stores, China Mobile Mall and several other retail outlets across China. The Redmi 5A comes in Champagne Gold, Pink and Grey colours.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A features 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 296ppi and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, and expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD. The Redmi 5A gets its strength from decent 3,000 mAh battery and runs on Nougat operating system wrapped under MIUI 9.

On the camera front, the Redmi 5A sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, Flash, f/2.2 aperture,burst mode, panorama mode, HDR mode, and more. on its back, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies with f/2.0 lens. Besides the smartphone offers hybrid dual SIM, with VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), 4.1, GPS, and a port. The handset measures 140.4 x 70.1 mm x 8.35 mm and weighs 137g.
