Xiaomi launched its Desh ka smartphone – Redmi 5A in India last month. The smartphone comes in two variants – 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage priced at Rs 4,999 and 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage priced at Rs 6,999. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A was initially made exclusively available on Flipkart, company’s official website and Mi Homes. But now, as per a report, the 3GB variant is now available for purchase in the offline market too. However, the 2GB variant is not available in the offline market as of now.
The offline medium is, however, selling the Redmi 5A 3GB at Rs 7,499 which is Rs 500 more than the online price of the phone. Until now, the Redmi 5A was sold in in flash sales via online medium. The smartphone comes in Gold, Rose Gold and Dark Grey colours.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5A features 5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 296ppi and is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor with Adreno 308 GPU. It comes with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage, and expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD. The Redmi 5A gets its strength from decent 3,000 mAh battery offering 8 days of standby time and runs on Android Nougat operating system wrapped under MIUI 9.
