Xiaomi is expected to launch its new Redmi smartphone next week and in all probability, it will be Redmi 4. Further, Amazon India has now confirmed that the device will be exclusive to the e-commerce website and has already made livethe ‘Notify Me’ button. Nothing has been out for the price but we expect the device to be priced below Rs 9,999 as Redmi 4 is touted to be the successor to Redmi 3S. There are rumours that Xiaomi will also launch Redmi 4 Prime which boasts Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 chipset, same as Redmi Noe 4.
If we talk about the expected specifications for Redmi 4, the device will come with a 5-inch 720p display which is likely to be 2.5D curved. On the inside, the Redmi 4 will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset. For comparison, the Redmi 3S Prime have a Snapdragon 430 Chipset inside. Besides, we will see 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage which will be expandable via microSD. A 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage variant is also speculated.
For the camera, Xiaomi will go down with a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front camera. We expect Xiaomi Redmi 4 to improve on the camera as there is not a lot of difference in the internal specifications department. For the juice, the company will yet again give a 4100 mAh battery. The device is likely to come with a fingerprint scanner and Android 6.0 Marshmallow seems to be the OS out-of-the-box.
So after launching the Redmi Note 4 and the super budget-oriented Redmi4A, can Redmi 4 bring another wave of sales for the Chinese company?
