Xiaomi was expected to launch Redmi 4 alongwith Redmi Note 4 on August 25. While Redmi Note 4 was launched then, Redmi 4 is yet to be officially announced. However, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone with model no Xiaomi 201606 has now been spotted on the website of Chinese certification agency, TENAA.
This is the second time that Xiaomi Redmi 4 has been spotted on the Chinese certification site. Earlier also Xiaomi Redmi 4 was listed on TENAA in 2GB RAM/16GB and 3GB RAM/32GB variants.
As per the new TENAA listing, the Redmi 4 smartphone has a 5-inch full HD display, a 1.8 GHz octa core processor (MediaTek Helio P10) and 3GB RAM. It offers 32GB of internal storage, a 13 megapixel rear camera, an 8 megapixel front facing camera and a huge 4,000 mAh battery. The device features a metal body and comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back.
The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The Redmi 4 supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS among connectivity options. As per the listing, the device will be available in Gold and Silver color variants.
Earlier rumors have hinted that Redmi 4 will be launched at a price of CNY 699 which is approximately Rs 7,000.
