A day after the launch of Xiaomi Redmi 3S, Xiaomi has announced another Redmi series smartphone in China, which is named as Xiaomi Redmi 3X. The Redmi 3X smartphone is priced at 899 Yuan (approximately Rs 9,151) and will be exclusively available via China Unicom. The smartphone comes in Gold and Silver colours.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3X smartphone is quite identical to Redmi 3S. The difference between them is that Redmi 3X comes only in 2GB RAM model while Redmi 3S has a 3 GB RAM model along with 2GB RAM version.
The Redmi 3X measures 139.7 x 69.7 x 8.5mm and weighs 146 grams, whereas the Redmi 3S measures 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5mm and weighs 144 grams.
There are no other differences between these two devices. Like the 3S, the Redmi 3X offers a 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor. It has Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB. The hybrid dual SIM based smartphone runs on Android Lollipop based MIUI 7 operating and has a 4100 mAh battery. It has full metal unibody design and also houses a fingerprint sensor located at the back.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3X comes with 32GB of internal storage, which is further expandable by up-to 128GB via a micro SD card. The smartphone boasts a 13-megapixel Autofocus rear camera with LED flash, PDAF and a 5-megapixel front camera. On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS with AGS/GLONASS and Micro-USB 2.0.
