Last week Xiaomi confirmed that it’ll launch its first smartphone under the newest POCO sub-brand, the Poco F1 at an event in New Delhi on August 22. With just two days left for the unveiling, the Poco F1 now finds its way to hallways of Geekbench with 8GB of RAM, confirming that the budget flagship will indeed come with various configurations to be bought at.
As expected, the Geekbench spotting also reveals that the Poco F1 will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 845 Chipset and thus be one of the cheapest devices to do so. With 8GB of memory onboard the device, we can expect as much as 256GB of internal storage on the phone which runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Poco F1 scores 2,451 points and 8,998 points on single-core and multi-core tests, meaning the device benchmarks similarly to other devices that run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 SoC like the OnePlus 6, Galaxy Note 9 and Asus Zenfone 5Z.
Another leakfrom Gizmochina has indicated that all variants of the Poco F1 will come inRed, Grey, Blue and Gradient colour options with the 8GB version boasting of a Kevlar-like finish at the back. Touted to be the cheapest smartphone to come powered by the Snapdragon 845 chip, the Poco F1 with 128GB storage (not the base model) is expected to retail at around Rs 25,000 in India with an entry level model set to hit at a cheaper price tag. Meanwhile, the 8GB RAM variant will be priced a little higher at around Rs 29,000 to match with the likes of the Asus Zenfone 5Z and OnePlus 6.
