The latest Poco F1 smartphone from Xiaomi might just have retailed through its first flash sale but the Chinese manufacturer has already started seeding its flagship alternate smartphone with the latest update that smoothes around the unfinished corners of the Poco-specific MIUI interface with better stability and camera improvements.
The new update now finds its way as MIUI version 9.6.18 and weighs in at around 360MB, adding a ton of customisations to the Poco F1 UI. The update optimises the camera interface in order to launch it faster and also process the captured images in a quicker way. There’s a new beautification mode when using the front camera where users will be able to select from 5 stages of face tones for better selfies.
The latest Poco F1 update brings with it the July 2018 batch of Android security updates and also optimises the overall system stability. It fixes the issue where users couldn’t open multiple apps simultaneously and also the problem regarding the virtual buttons. The dual microphones will now be able to offer a better call recording quality. Xioami has also reduced the bloatware on the phone by deleting the Mi Roaming App from the system, which will probably be due to the lack of interest shown by users.
The latest Poco F1 update comes off as an OTA package and we suggest you wait a few days till it gets seeded to your unit.
