Xiaomi now launches a smartwatch for kids: Mituwatch

Xiaomi has unveiled a smartwatch for kids in China, called Mituwatch. The smartwatch is priced at 299 Yuan (approximately Rs 3,064). The Mituwatch is specially designed and developed keeping the kids in mind. As per Xiaomi it comes with various safety features for the kids.

The Mituwatch comes with silicone straps which is FDA approved and features an dot-matrix display. The watch houses an SOS button; when press in emergencies, a seven-second audio will be recorded and sent to the parents. Moreover it also has built-in GPS, which will send the real-time location of the kid to parents.

Mituwatch has a built in Mi phone card with credit worth 10 Yuan. The phone card’s credit will be used for sending real-time GPS location of the kid. The smartwatch also comes with a dedicated to set up security zones for kids, if a kid goes out of the prescribed area, then a notification or alert will be sent to parents immediately. Further, the parents can feed up-to 12 emergency numbers and all of them will get the notification in case of an emergency.

The Mituwatch is backed up by a 300mAh battery, which claims to offers up-to two days of usage when fully charged and up-to six days of standby time. The smartwatch measures 18.9×4.0×1.5 cm and weighs around 30 grams. The device is compatible with 4.2 and above operating system and for Apple users its iOS 8 and above. Besides, it has built-in pedometer, WiFi, GPS/GLONASS, 4.0, and Alarm. Being a kids watch it comes in various cool colors.
