The list of the third batch of supported devices include Redmi 1, Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Mi 3, Mi 4, Redmi Note 3, Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, Mi Pad 3, Redmi Note 4 (MediaTek version), Mi 4i, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note Prime, Mi 2, Mi 2S, Mi Note, Redmi 3 and 3 Prime, Redmi 3S and 3S Prime, Redmi 4A and Redmi 4 Prime. However, it is important to know that it is a beta update and it could be unstable in nature.

For the unintended, MIUI is the company’s customized version of the operating system. The company recently launched the ninth edition of its and the first batch of devices that received the beta update was Redmi Note 4 (Qualcomm version), Redmi Note 4X and company’s flagship device, the Mi 6. The second batch of devices that received the beta update was Mi Mix, Mi Note 2, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi Max 2, Mi Max, Redmi 4 and Redmi 4X.

The latest MIUI 9 comes loaded with some interesting features including a Smart Assistant, a smart launcher that suggests apps launch based on the screen and image search feature which can differentiate between photos based on the keywords one enter.

Other than this, there is a system optimisations feature and new file system, which could make the MIUI faster and more responsive. Then there is a quick reply and notification management and one can use a two-finger swipe gesture to reveal the notifications. The Quick reply allows users to reply to messages directly from the notification.
