Xiaomi recently took the wrap off from its latest Android One smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi A2. The company confirmed that it will launch the latest smartphone in India on August 8. Now, just ahead of launch we are getting about some information about which variants will make its way to India.
According to a report by Gadgets360, Xiaomi is planning to exclude the base model of Mi A2 that comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage option for the Indian market. The company will instead introduce 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant as the base model. One could also expect it to launch 6GB RAM variant with 128GB storage option in India as well.
Further, the report highlights that the company might also bring a new colour option of the latest smartphone in the country as well. It will launch the Rose Gold colour option along with Gold, Black and Blue paint jobs. Additionally, the report says that the brand will include Quick Charge 4.0 in the latest smartphone, which will be an upgrade to the Quick Charge 3.0 present in the global variant.
Recollecting some key specs, the device feature a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 2160 × 1080 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Processor coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage.
On the camera front, the device features a dual-camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel primary lens with a f/1.75 Aperture along with a secondary 20-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.75 aperture. For the front, there is a 20-megapixel shooter with a f/1.8 aperture for selfies and video calling.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 is backed by a 3010 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and it falls under Android One programme from Google. On the connectivity front, it supports, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-SIM, GPS and USB Type-C port. The Mi A2 will measure 158.70 x 7.30 x 75.40mm and weigh in at 168 grams.
