Xiaomi has started rolling out an update to the Mi TV 4A Pro 49-inch, bringing new features as well as Android 9 Pie-based Android TV OS to the smart TV. The update to the 49-inch Mi TV 4A Pro comes two months after the company seeded a similar update to the 32-inch models of the Mi TV 4A Pro and Mi TV 4C Pro smart TVs.
The news of the update comes directly from Xiaomi India Product Manager, Sudeep Sahu who took to Twitter to announce that the 49-inch Mi TV 4A now gets a new update. The update shifts the build number of the device to R3773 and rolls out Android 9 Pie with October 2019 Android security patches.

Alongside Android Pie, the Mi TV 4A Pro 49 gets official support for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Additionally, the Android Pie update adds a Google Data Saver feature, Wireless Connectivity optimisation and a new Vivid Picture Engine to the smart TV.
To recall, the Mi LED TV 4A Pro 49 comes with a 49-inch Full HD display with HDR support, 178-degree viewing angle and a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It’s powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Amlogic SoC with Mali-450 GPU, 2GB RAM and 8GB of onboard storage.
The TV comes with dual 10-watt stereo speakers with DTS audio support. Connectivity options include WiFi (2.4GHx/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2LE, Mi Port, a USB 2.0 port, Ethernet and three HDMI ports.
