We already know that Xiaomi is working on its upcoming Mi Mix 2 smartphone. The Mi Mix 2 has already surfaced via various leaks and rumours in the past. Now we have come across of confirmed news of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 to be launched later this year.
The confirmation comes straight from Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun who has revealed the formation via Chinese microblogging website, Weibo. Earlier also, Lei Jun confirmed in February that company is working on the successor of Mi Mix smartphone which is named as Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. Jun has shared that Mi Mix 2 will be designed by the same French designer Philippe Starck who had designed the predecessor Mi MIX.
Considering the fact that the Mi Mix was launched last year in November, we can expect that the Mi Mix 2 also to launch around the same time this year. Also, as per the CEO, the launch will be taking place in the second half of the year.
Recently, we came across to know that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 along with the Mi Note 3 is expected to sport dual-curved AMOLED display, made by Samsung. As per earlier leaked specs, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will feature a 6.4-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixel) IPS display with body screen ratio of above 90% and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 825 octa-core 2.45GHz Processor with Adreno 540 GPU. It will come in three variants – 4GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage. It doesn’t have any expandable storage.
The Mi Mix 2 will have two SIM card slots with Dual Standby and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with MiUI 9 on top of it. It will be backed up by a 4,500 mAh battery. The Mi Mix 2 is said to have a 19-megapixel rear camera with LED flash light while for selfies it will offer a 13-megapixel front camera. The handset will also feature a USB Type-C port and Fingerprint sensor which is placed at the back of the device. For connectivity the smartphone offers 4G, WiFi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS / GLONASS and micro USB. It will come with Ambient Light Sensor, Gravity Sensor and Proximity Sensor.
