Finally after so many leaks and rumors, Xiaomi today announced its much awaited fitness tracker, the Xiaomi Mi Band 2, in China. The Mi Band 2 carries a price tag of 149 Yuan, which is Rs 1,500 approximately and it will officially go on sale in China on 7th June.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 comes with a new strap made of skin-friendly material and is available in black, blue, green, orange and other colours variants. The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is a fitness and sleep tracker like its predecessor. The new band has a 0.42 inch OLED display which is covered by a scratch-resistant glass and has an anti-fingerprint coating. The Mi Band 2 has a heart rate sensor. The Mi Band 2 has an upgraded pedometer that claims to offer more accurate step count.
The Mi Band 2 can be connected to compatible smartphones and tablets devices via Bluetooth 4.0 LE. It weighs only 7 grams, and comes with IP67 certification for water resistance. The band has 70mAh battery that promises to offer up to 20 days of standby time.
As of now Xiaomi has not said anything about its launch in India but we are very much hopeful of its India launch quite soon considering the importance Xiaomi gives to the Indian market.
