Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 gets a price cut of Rs 1,000 in India

The air purifier, which was originally launched at Rs 9,999 in the country, will be available at a price tag of Rs 8,999.

Xiaomi has slashed the price of its Mi Air Purifier 2. The air purifier, which was originally launched at Rs 9,999 in the country, will be available at a price tag of Rs 8,999.

To recall, the company announced the latest air purifier in September this year along with Mi 2. The device comes loaded with a host of interesting features. To start with, the air purifier comes loaded with a 360-degree cylindrical filter, which increases the air intake from every direction.

Further, it has a triple-layer design. The EPA filter in the device removes particle that are 0.3 microns big and there is also an activated carbon filter that removes formaldehyde, odour and other harmful substances from the air. It also removes PM2.5 particles, dust from unclean air conditioners, germs, indoor plant pollen and pet hair.

The air purifier has a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 310 cubic meters per hour. The company claims that Mi Air Purifier 2 takes 10 minutes to circulate purified air in the 21m2 room. Users can also connect the Mi Air Purifier 2 via Mi Home and through the app users will be made aware when the filter needs to be replaced. The filter is priced Rs 2,499 and one has to replace it once in every six months. It also comes loaded with WiFi connectivity.
